Hotel and Transportation Information

Either Midway or O'Hare airport is fine for flying into Chicago. O'Hare Airport is larger so some feel it is more convenient than Midway.

TAXI

We recommend that you use American Taxi for your transportation from either airport to the Hampton Inn.   The one trip fares from O'Hare  is $34.00 and from Midway $48.00 including tolls.

HOTELS

The Hampton Inn of Carol Stream is located approximately 1.5 miles from the studio. The Hampton Inn works with our students and offers a rate of $69.00 per night for a single and $74.00 for a double. Breakfast is provided by The Hampton Inn. You must contact the Hampton Inn using their local number to obtain the special rate and you must stipulate that you are a Chicago Institute of Fine Finishes student.

Upon availability, the Chicago Institute of Fine Finishes a decorative painting school, can provide transportation between the classroom and the hotel. To make shuttle arrangements, please call us in advance at 630-653-2400

Dining

Most dining is not within walking distance of the hotel so you will need to take a cab or ride with another student if you do not have your own car. The Hampton Inn will provide you a list of local area restaurants that will deliver to your room. Carol Stream is a pretty casual city; most of the restaurants in town require only causal dress. 

Weather

The weather during the winter months is cold and snowy. The fall and early spring can be windy and chilly. The building that we hold class in is heated, but a light coat/jacket or sweater is still recommended during the winter months..
